Why do shows always get canceled when storylines start ramping up and the show goes from really good to awesome?

Awake did it last night.  Big story-arc ramp and reveal and now it’s cancelled.  Other show I liked (but most didn’t) was Witches of Eastwick.  Suddenly every story element combined just right for a reveal of how it’s going to all go down, and bam.  Canceled.  Or what about shows that manage to finish out their seasons but get cliff-hanger-y (I’m looking at you VR5) or Tiger & Lady-esque (Terriers) or a great setup for a second season (sob, The Secret Circle) or worse yet, never solve the series’ main premise (Pushing Daisies)

*sigh* I understand it’s all about the numbers but it still makes me a sad lil TV-Addict :(

If I wasn’t a TV addict, I would just stop watching.  I always seem to fall in love with shows that are doomed.

Awake would probably have gotten another season if it had been on CBS instead of NBC *grouse*

I’m still shocked that The Secret Circle, which seemed to be doing well, was canceled.  Now I’m depressed because there’s probably no snowball’s chance for Awake or GCB :(

EDIT:  Well, shoulda checked before I posted, Awake is gone too.  ARGH.

rumbleroarrrr:

GUYS. LOOK AT WHAT IS TRENDING.
THE CW
TSC
THE SECRET CIRCLE

Because The CW are morons, that’s why.  TSC was a great pairing for Vamp Diaries and SPN was still doing well on Fri.  Meh.  *kicks CW*  No wonder it’ll always be the “fifth network”

Dammit.  The Secret Circle got axed.  I was really hoping it would survive and CW would keep their supernatural Thursday (Vamp Diaries/Secret Circle) groove going.

The shot with the Party of Six Balcoins was nice.  It’s going to be Clash of the Brady Bunches next season if renewed….

So, is this where Adam goes all evil and doesn’t do the Boy Scout thing?  After all, the skull is a nice deterrent :P

So, not going to mention that Cassie’s mom was murdered?

So the only person that knew that the whole Cassie/Adam curse was fake is dead.  Prepare for more angst next season :x

Man.  Blackwell got around.  He’s like a sperm bank donor on an epic scale.
